latest #1 single: “THIS IS MY DIRT”

Justin Moore’s latest #1 song is the title track off his current album, This Is My Dirt, which also has a pretty funny song on their called “The Worst.” Justin thinks a lot of parents will appreciate the song that contemplates whether parents are really doing their kids any favors by trying to give them a better life and better things than they had when they were growing up.

“’The Worst’ kinda came from … it was me and a group of guys who the majority of ‘em are also parents. And we’re talkin’ about, you know, as a parent you’re tryin’ to always give your kids better things than you had, right? Whether it be a vacation or whether it be a pair of cleats. And we were just kind of talkin’ about the fact that like, maybe we should go back to givin’ ‘em, like crap, ’cause I don’t know that they really appreciate it the way that they should or that you want ‘em to. And if they had to get out there and push mow a yard, I don’t even think they’d know how to do it, you know. So, I think the parents will really enjoy that song.”
