(AUDIO) Justin Moore’s Dream of Performing Came Later In Life

Unlike some guys in the business, Justin Moore admits he didn’t catch a lot of flak from his buddies in school about wanting to be a country music singer because he didn’t know he wanted to be a singer when he was a young kid. Justin says, “I didn’t know that I wanted to do this when I was twelve. All the guys in my band, this is all they’ve ever wanted to do. All I ever wanted to do was play baseball and basketball. I was an athlete and was gonna play baseball in college and looked in the mirror and realized I was 5’6” and probably wasn’t gonna make money doin’ that.”

By the time Justin got older and decided music was what he wanted to do for a living his buddies were all for it because he says, “At the time when I started they thought; ah, that’s cool, and maybe we’ll pick up some chicks if you play this show.”
