Justin Moore admits that being home with his four young kids for an extended period of time during the coronavirus pandemic has been a little stressful at times, but he wouldn’t trade the time with them for the world. It’s hard for Justin to pick one thing as his favorite part of being a dad, but he says it’s probably, “Just being at home with ‘em. We have to travel so much that any time I have the chance to be around and be at home with ‘em, whether it’s coachin’ a ballgame, or whether it’s sittin’ on the couch watching a movie, or whatever, just the time that we get to spend together, we really try to take advantage and make the most of.because we don’t have as much as some other people have that have quote unquote normal jobs.”
So while Justin jokes that the answer to his latest hit song, “Why We Drink,” might be because of trying to home school your kids and spending 24 hours a day together for longer than they ever have, in all seriousness, he’s been trying to soak it all in, because he knows the world won’t be on pause forever due to Covid-19, and one day he’ll be back out touring and getting to spend less time at home with his kids, who are growing up quickly.
