(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE’S LOVE OF WESTERNS INSPIRED HIS LATEST VIDEO

If you’ve seen the video for Justin Moore’s latest hit song, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” then you know it’s kind of like a spaghetti western meets Groundhog Day.  It also finally gave him a chance to ride a horse in a video.  Justin says, “I’ve been wanting to ride a horse in a video forever throughout my career, and I’ve never been able to pull that off. I grew up riding, and liked riding, and have ridden.”

The idea for the video came from Justin’s love of old western movies.  He says, “I’m obsessed with westerns. My assistant tour manager calls me an 80-year old man. I’ll be on the bus at 2 pm just sittin’ at a venue in my sweats watching westerns all day. I was so close to my grandpa and the time I spent with him when we were at home not doing anything, we always watched westerns. So I guess I developed a passion for them then. So I had this idea to do this video as a western. I didn’t even have the comedy thing in mind and some folks from the label threw that in there. So I said let’s do it, that would be cool.”

“You Look Like I Need A Drink” is the first release off of Justin’s latest album, Kinda Don’t Care.

Justin Moore – Need A Drink video  :52

“Yeah, it’s exactly what it was. It was Groundhog Day, wild west style. I’ve been wanting to ride a horse in a video forever throughout my career, and I’ve never been able to pull that off. I grew up riding, and liked riding, and have ridden. I’m obsessed with westerns. My assistant tour manager calls me an 80-year old man.
