CURRENT SINGLE: “With a Woman You Love”
Justin Moore has three daughters and one son, South, who will turn five next month and is his youngest. We suspected South might be a Justin mini-me, and Justin says in some ways he is. For instance, just like Justin did when he was a little kid, he says, “(South) loves being outside, which all the kids do, but I mean, he likes to do what he calls ‘boy work.’ He’ll tell the girls, ‘You can’t go do this. This is only for boys to do,’ which he don’t know what he’s talkin’ about.”
Justin can’t help but laugh at the kind of “boy work” that South gets excited about. “Like, the kid loves nothin’ more than ridin’ around with me if we have trees down with big storms or something, and me chain sawing trees,” says Justin. “Yesterday he was on the tractor with me for two hours when I was bush hoggin’. And I was always that way, whether it be my grandpas or uncles or whatever, and loved just bein’ out and about. And he eats that up.”
Justin admits it cracks him up when South, out of nowhere, “He’ll go, ‘Hey, can we go chainsaw some stuff?’ And I’m like, ‘Uhh, I mean, we ain’t really got anything to chainsaw, son.’ But, it’s pretty funny.”
Something tells us when South is old enough to operate a chainsaw on his own, Justin might want to keep an eye on him, or he could end up with a lot of stuff sawed in half on his property.
