(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE’S ‘THE ONES THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT BACK HOME’ IS FOR ANYONE THAT’S EVER LOST SOMEONE

When Justin Moore wrote his latest single, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” it was a tribute to the men and women who serve our country and pay the ultimate sacrifice, but the message of the song will resonate with anyone who has lost someone in their life.  Justin says, “First and foremost, it was military service men and women and then beyond that it was police officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, teachers are in the line of duty nowadays, which is sad to say, but it’s a fact. And then just anyone who goes to work one day or on vacation and anything can happen. We read about these fluke deals that happen all the time.”

Every night in his live shows, Justin would invite the crowd to raise their drinks to “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” and he says he can’t believe it didn’t dawn on him sooner that he needed to write a song about it.  Justin has a tremendous amount of respect for the men and women who lay their life on the line for our freedom, so the song, he says, “It’s meant to be an ode to servicemen and women and certainly we appreciate all that they do and sacrifice, but beyond that I think it’s relatable to anyone who’s lost a family member or friend or whatever it might be.”

“The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” is the first single off Justin’s upcoming album, Late Nights and Longnecks, which will be released on July 26th.
