Justin Moore’s latest number one song, “This Is My Dirt” is a very personal song to him, because for all intents and purposes, it is his own life story about the land he lives on in Arkansas with his family to this day.

“My grandfather, my mom’s dad, when he was born, his mother passed. And so, he was raised by his grandpa on this piece of property. I was raised here. My mom and dad raised me here and they still live here on the property. And so, when I was looking for land, when we moved back home from Tennessee, my grandfather, he said, ‘Why don’t you just buy this?’ Certainly, it was a pretty good discount. I did buy it though, it wasn’t given to me. But I thought the opportunity to be able to raise my kids – now that would be, I don’t know how many generations, that would be three I guess, or four, that it’s been in our families. So, ‘This Is My Dirt,’ it’s really autobiographical, to be honest.”
