Justin Moore just celebrated his latest #1 song, “The Ones That Didn’t Make it Back Home,” and he’s got a rockin’ new song, “Why We Drink,” starting to make its way up the charts this fall, but for a big country star, he is admittedly, not a big guy. In fact, there was a rumor that Justin’s wife Kate, who owns This Little Piggy, a kids and teens clothing and accessories boutique in Benton, Arkansas, reminded him of just how small he is, when she talked him into modeling a pair of boys’ jeans. We asked Justin about it, and he told us, “Yeah that’s a true story. It was right after she started getting some stuff in, like clothing in, and it was for, I guess teen years, kind of stuff. And she was all, ‘You could probably wear these.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I’m not going to. Fortunately, Wrangler takes care of me and sends me stuff, so I don’t need to do this.’ She goes, ‘Yeah but just go try ‘em on.’ So, I’m like, ‘Alright, whatever.’”
The pants Kate had Justin try on were like a boys’ size 14, which averages a 27-inch waist and fits boys who are about 5 feet or a little taller, and Justin admits, “They weren’t any too small. So, just more insult to injury for me, being built like a 14-year-old.”
Justin thinks at one point there were even pictures of him in the boys’ jeans on This Little Piggy’s socials, but we checked @shopthislittlepiggyar on Instagram and their Facebook page, and it looks like they may have taken down the photo of Justin in his teen jeans, but the embarrassing memory lives on in his mind.
