CURRENT SINGLE: “Like A Lady”
If you’ve seen the video for Lady A’s latest song, “Like a Lady,” then you know it’s almost like a live photo shoot, with the group switching backgrounds and outfits and having fun. When they filmed it, they hadn’t had a whole lot of time to spend with the song, getting to know all the ins and outs, so there were some funny moments on set. For instance, Dave Haywood laughs and says, “Do you remember the intro, Hillary? They were like three, two, one. [And we all belted out] LADY! Nobody knew what key we were in.”
Hillary remembers, “Yeah, we were all over the place. And then,” she adds, “I definitely had a moment of like blanking out on the lyrics, which happens.”
The director was trying to shoot each scene in one continuous shot, so Dave says, “If we kinda had a little flub, we just we just had to kinda start from the top. But I think we got it within three or four takes.”
There’s no doubt Lady A will have all the kinks worked out for their live performances of “Like A Lady,” and even if they have a little flub, the song is such an earworm, the crowd will probably be singing so loudly, they won’t even notice.
