CURRENT SINGLE: “Champagne Night”
When you’ve had the kind of career Lady A has up to this point, it would be difficult to choose just one favorite memory from the past 14 years, but they each manage to come up with some great highlights so far. Charles Kelley thinks back to the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2011 when they won five awards, including the all-genre Record of the Year and Song of the Year trophies for their song “Need You Now,” plus Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. “I mean, you would have to say that night at the Grammys, but I don’t know,” says Charles. “There’s definitely been a few.”
Dave Haywood considers Lady A’s debut on the Grand Ole Opry a definite career highlight for him because he says, “My family came up, and that was one of the very first moments I just felt like it was happening for me. I was like, if we can play the Grand Ole Opry, like, this is really coming together, like we’re on track.”
Hillary Scott will never forget getting to film a CMT Crossroads special in 2013 with one of their musical idols, Stevie Nicks. “Just getting to work with one of our musical heroes, a living legend who you hope and pray that they’re gonna live up to your hope and your expectation, and she surpassed it. And we got to hear so many stories and so many nuggets of wisdom from her and her decades in this business. And it’s all captured on film that we can have and cherish for the rest of our life.”
While Lady A is nowhere near stopping, Hillary says filming CMT Crossroads with Stevie Nicks, “I remember feeling after that experience like, if it all ended tomorrow, I’m good. Like, this was awesome.”

It may not be as big as a big awards show moment, but that for me was just as important.”
