(AUDIO) LADY A WAS MANIFESTING THEIR FUTURE WITH “LIKE A LADY”

CURRENT  SINGLE: “Like A Lady”

Lady A’s latest single, “Like A Lady,” is featured on their latest project, What A Song Can Do (Chapter One), which also features some powerful and emotional tracks like “Things He Handed Down” and “Worship What I Hate,” but Hillary Scott, who co-wrote “Like A Lady,” explains why  that was the right song to release first.  “If we were to have come with a more introspective, maybe slower tempo (song), and then gotten the greenlight to tour when everybody’s just like itching to get out and dance and party and hang, it would have felt a little bit ‘whiplashy,’ you know.”

Hillary admits Lady A also might have been trying to manifest getting back to touring.  She says, “I think we’ve been so excited to get back out on the road, that we wanted to just almost like push that forward as much as we possibly could,” she says.

Plus, “Like a Lady” was released about a year into the pandemic, and Hillary says, choosing that song represented “wanting to release music, write music, perform music that just makes people happy, that makes people feel joy and create this opportunity to hopefully make more memories in the live show environment.”

The song has also made a great opener for Lady A’s What A Song Can Do Tour, which runs through October 10th.
