This Tuesday, October 22nd, Lady Antebellum will be honored with a star on Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame, along with Clint Black, Chet Atkins and Mac McAnally. Thiers will be one of 89 stars recognizing artists for their “significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville, as well as their creative endeavors.”
Lady A’s Hillary Scott was born and raised in Nashville, and she says, “It honestly hasn’t quite sunk in… It’ll be a really, really special day for family. You know, I’ll definitely bring my littles (her three daughters) out there to see that. And then we’ll just have people stepping all over our name out there… walkin’ all over us, and we love it. It’s the biggest honor in the whole wide world.”
Some of the other artists who have received stars on the Music City Walk of Fame include Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley. The honor comes less than a month before Lady A kicks off the next chapter in their career with the release of their new album, Ocean, featuring their latest single, “What If I Never Get Over You,” on November 15th.
