The members of Lady Antebellum have six kids between the three of them, and while they don’t know if any of them will follow in their mom or dad’s footsteps, some of their kids are already starting to show a real love of music. “I can speak for my oldest daughter Eisele,” says Hillary. “She loves to perform. It was so sweet, we were at a family dinner, my husband and I just with Eisele the other night, and she was just singing at the table out of pure joy, making up a song. And I asked her, I go, ‘Do you love to sing?’ And she goes, ‘Yes. And when I watch you sing it makes me know I can do it.’”
Hearing her daughter say that, Hillary says, “I just thought to myself, ‘Okay, of all the ways that I know I fail as a mom, this is a win.’
And Hillary’s daughter, who is six years old, loves all kinds of music, from The Backstreet Boys to ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley, and Hillary says, “I try to always play her, just different genres and different eras, but watching her perform and love it for herself is one of the coolest things to get to watch as a mom.”
We also know that Hillary’s two-year-old twins love music, including their mama’s music with Lady Antebellum, like their current single, “What I’m Leaving For.” Hillary says they’ll sometimes ask to hear her music, like when they’re eating breakfast, and they’ll just bob their little heads while they eat.
Lady Antebellum – kids interest in music
“I can speak for my oldest daughter Eisele. She loves to perform. And when I watch you sing it makes me know I can do it.’ And I just thought to myself, ‘Okay, of all the ways that I know I fail as a mom, this is a win.’ And just watching her fall in love with it and gravitate towards it – I will say like, she’s obsessed with the Backstreet Boys, has been for months. It is a love that is not wavering, but she also loves ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley. And I try to always play her, just different genres and different eras, but watching her perform and love it for herself is one of the coolest things to get to watch as a mom.”
