Charles Kelley – “I listen to everything, man. When I’m by myself, like when I go play golf, I always put it on yacht rock. And I don’t know if anybody knows what yacht rock is, but it’s a lot of like Toto and Hall & Oates. Just feel good music that makes you feel like you’ve got your toes in the sand on the beach, or I guess for some people, on a yacht.”
Yacht Rock is defined as the soft rock that was popular in the late 70’s and early 80’s, including Toto and Hall & Oates, plus Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Chicago and Michael McDonald.
