CURRENT SINGLE: “Like A Lady”
While Charles Kelley was gone from home quite a bit during the first ___ years of his son Ward’s life, because he was touring with Lady A, he was fortunate, because he says, “My wife and son would come on the road a lot.”
So when the pandemic hit and Charles was at home full time with Ward, he says, “It didn’t seem like a tremendous amount has changed. The thing that’s gonna be really interesting is when he is in school full time and is not able to just come out on the road like he has been.”
But Charles definitely did get to spend more time with Ward by being home full time than he ever has, and he says, “It’s been wonderful just gettin’ to see how much he’s changed, and how much time we’ve gotten to spend. And splittin’ time with my wife, like,. ‘Alright, it’s my turn to wake up in the morning with him,’ cause he wakes up super early. So, we switch off, and that’s when he’s kind of at his sweetest.”
While Ward is still fairly young, Charles says, “Those are kinda little moments that I try to remember and cherish cause it really is moving so incredibly fast.”
