NEW SINGLE: “Summer State of Mind”
Lady A’s Charles Kelley has a six year old son, Ward, who is quickly becoming a world traveler, thanks in large part to Charles’ wife Cassie. “They’re the funniest,” says Charles. “My wife and my boy, it’s just funny to see their relationship. Like, you can already tell he’s got this wanderlust like she has.”
Charles is thankful Ward has Cassie to help him discover the world, because he says, “I feel like because I travel for a living, I don’t have that desire to just go and see the world like Cassie does.”
Even though Lady A’s career has taken them all over the world, Charles admits, “When we tour, I will say, I’m always so jetlagged. It’s like, ‘How was it in Germany?’ I was like, ‘Man, I was so tired the whole time I didn’t really even walk out of my hotel.’ And I’m so ashamed. But my wife just wants to show Ward and expose him to so many things, and it just opens his little mind up so much.”
Lady A will be traveling all over the U.S. this summer and fall promoting their brand new single, “Summer State of Mind,” and there’s a good chance Ward will be packing his suitcase to join dad on the road for at least some of those tour dates.
