Dave Haywood of Lady A has two kids, Cash, who’s five, and Lily, who is two and a half, and now that he’s been spending an extended period of time at home because of the coronavirus pandemic and Lady A’s inability to tour, he’s noticing how different his kids are in terms of the types of activities they enjoy. “Gosh, my daughter just loves books so much,” says Dave. “At night, she’ll just sign more all the time for reading. We’ll read five or six books, so that’s special and that was different. Our son just wants to wrestle and play trucks. So, we play Monster Trucks and trains and play in the sand. I mean it’s all boys stuff and it’s super fun. So, if I can get down on the ground and get dirty with him, he loves it.”
While the pandemic has kept Lady A off the road, it hasn’t kept them from promoting their latest single, “Champagne Night.” They’ve made multiple virtual media appearances to talk about and perform the song, plus, they’ve been finding creative ways to virtually be together during this time, including setting up a virtual beer pong challenge, which you can see on Instagram.
