Hillary Scott of Lady A has always been a kind-hearted, compassionate person, but one thing that changed when the band was off the road during the pandemic, is that Hillary says, “I’ve definitely tried to set the intention more of being a student – waking up every day and looking for lessons to learn, looking for wise council to talk to, to learn from. I’ve been really trying to go deeper in my ability to empathize with people – with all people.”
While it’s easy to feel empathy and express kindness to people you know and agree with, Hillary says, “I think that’s our greatest work as human beings, is just continuing to figure out how to be more loving and kind and empathetic.”
Lady A, who became members of the Grand Ole Opry last year, will return to the hallowed Opry stage to perform a few songs this Wednesday (3/23), including their latest single, “What A Song Can Do.”
