CURRENT SINGLE: “Like A Lady”
Hillary Scott of Lady A is known for being sweet and kind, which makes it even more fun to hear her being so sassy and full of attitude in the band’s new single, “Like A Lady.” Hillary co-wrote the song and she says, “The sass in the lyric of this song, I mean I can definitely be that. You can ask my husband,” she laughs.
Hillary enjoys being able to show that side of her personality with lines like, “Might change my hair, and change my mind. Might change your whole damn life. I might break your heart and not think twice, that’s right.” She says, “It’s honestly fun. It’s a fun departure. I love being able to kind of get in character a little bit with this song.”
Not to mention, Hillary says singing “Like A Lady,” “It makes me happy. I mean, I know it’s a little bit feisty and ‘attitudey’ but it makes me so happy to sing this song. It’s that balance between feeling so strong and empowered, and at the same time not taking myself too seriously, which is a really fun place to be.”
