CURRENT SINGLE: “Like A Lady”
If you saw Lady A perform their new single, “Like a Lady,” on Sunday night’s ACM Awards, then you know it is a song that’s going to be a lot of fun for them to play live every night in concert. In fact, Dave Haywood says, “Hillary sent that to Charles and I, and immediately I was transported to the stage – those summer amphitheaters we get to do in country music and we all love. I think this is the song that is hopin’ to propel us toward, kinda the end of the pandemic and getting some positive music out there to kind a let us start gettin’ ready for buying tickets and gettin’ ready for shows again. That’s our hope.”
Lady A hasn’t announced any new touring plans since having to cancel their Ocean tour last year but the plans are definitely in the works. According to Dave, “We’re waiting for a green light for that, but if we’re able to do that, we’re hoping this song’ll be the one that will kinda get us there. I mean we haven’t even had a chance to tour ‘Champagne Night’ yet either, which is pretty crazy to think about.”
Hillary co-wrote “Like a Lady,” which features Charles and Dave singing “I feel like a lady …” on harmonies, and Dave says, “I’m so proud of Hillary. Charles and I, and all of our masculinity, love singin’ along and singin’ harmonies to this tune. It’s such a jam, and so proud of our leading lady on this one. She crushes it.“
