Lennon Stella, who plays Maddie Conrad on the hit ABC drama, Nashville, is not only an aspiring artist on the show, but also in real life. She comes from a musical family, which helps to inspire her, but she also says her co-stars on Nashville inspire her songwriting as well. “Especially like Chip (Charles Esten), he writes a lot…they all write a lot of their own stuff, but Chip especially. He’s an insane writer and he really writes a lot,” says Lennon.
She also sees how hard Chip works to get some of his own music on the TV show and she says that inspires her to want to work on her own songwriting. You can see Lennon and her younger sister and singing partner Maisy, who plays Daphne Conrad on Nashville, returning to ABC on Wednesday, March 16th.

“Well, especially like Chip, he writes a lot…they all write a lot of their own stuff, but Chip especially. He’s an insane writer and he really writes a lot, and then some of his stuff…workin’ to get on the show, and all that stuff, is super inspiring. But, my parents are musicians and they’re writers, so growing up with that whole aspect of it. We’ve always been interested in writing as well.”
