(AUDIO) LIFE IS GOOD FOR BRANTLEY GILBERT, BUT HE’S ALWAYS AWARE THAT ‘THE DEVIL DON’T SLEEP’

Brantley Gilbert is five years sober, he’s married to the love of his life and he’s expecting his first child, a baby boy, in November, so needless to say, life is pretty fantastic for him these days.  But the title of his latest album, featuring his new single, “The Ones That Like Me,” is always a purposeful reminder to him not to get too complacent in his life.  Speaking of his album, The Devil Don’t Sleep, Brantley says, “If you’re going to tell a story, tell the whole thing and you can’t leave out any of the good or the bad or the ugly. And to be honest with you this one took so long, I was waiting on a little more bad and ugly because contrary to the title this is probably the most positive record and the most positive chapter of my life – my wife coming back into the picture after five years of not seeing or speaking to each other and getting back together and then being married. You know, being her husband is probably my most proud thing in my life. But you know, The Devil Don’t Sleep is all about just being on my toes and staying conscious that temptation is always right around the corner.”

Fortunately, Brantley is so focused on all the positive things in his life these days, including his marriage, his baby, his career and his five years of sobriety that he remains firmly aware that The Devil Don’t Sleep and he always has to be vigilant.
