brand new single: “I WISH YOU WOULD” featuring Midland

Mackenzie Carpenter has been in Nashville for a while, getting her degree from Belmont College, immersing herself in the songwriting community, and working on her music, some of which she has shared over the last couple of years.  But just last month Mackenzie released her debut album, Hey Country Queen, featuring her new single, “I Wish You Would,” with Midland, and to her, it represents the culmination of a lot of hard work, but also the beginning of a really exciting time.

“The feeling of finally putting out my debut album is very hard to put into words because it feels like it’s been such a long time coming, even though, technically, it hasn’t. I moved to town in 2017 and now it’s 2025. So, to be able to have a collection of music that I’m this passionate about, that the creative and visual vision came together so amazing for, to have an incredible duet partner, it all seems to be coming together for a big amazing moment.”
