brand new single: “I WISH YOU WOULD” featuring Midland

Mackenzie Carpenter’s debut album title, Hey Country Queen, featuring her brand new single with Midland, “I Wish You Would,” is not only a nod to all of her fans who will listen to the album, but also to the country queens (and kings) whose music has influenced and helped shape Mackenzie into the artist she is today.

Mackenzie Carpenter – influences and inspirations :35

“I have so many musical influences. I grew up listening to almost every single genre, pretty much except rock ‘n roll. But the classics that I was raised on, like in the car, bumpin’, my mom’s red Suburban, all of us in the back seat, it’s like total Y2K country – Toby Keith, Craig Morgan. Even before that, Faith Hill, Shania Twain is a huge person that I look up to and think is amazing, and have listened to my whole life. Miranda Lambert, her writing, her tone. There’s just so many people that I look up to.”
