Maddie & Tae just released their debut single, “Girl in a Country Song,” and because they are two young, talented, teenage blonde singers, a lot of people like to draw a comparison between them and Taylor Swift. Tae doesn’t mind that comparison at all and she says, “I think it is the biggest compliment because Taylor has this incredible thing with her music that connects with the fans. It resonates so well with people. To be compared with something like that is just a compliment.”
As people learn more about Maddie & Tae and their music, they’ll hear that their writing style is definitely different from Taylor’s, but they do share a parent record label, Big Machine Label Group, and they certainly wouldn’t mind following in her successful footsteps.
