Maddie & Tae just released their new single, “Fly,” which is the follow-up to their #1 debut single, “Girl in a Country Song,” and as new artists they feel very grateful to have been welcomed with open arms into the country music community and by country music fans.

“It’s incredible,” says Tae Dye. “That’s all we could ask for, and we’ve had such a blast being on radio tour and getting to visit all the stations. They’re playin’ our music and they’re supportive, and so are our fans. It’s been amazing.”

Maddie Marlow agrees because she knows that not everyone gets the kind of reception she and Tae have gotten. “We feel really, really blessed just to be welcomed with open arms ‘cause that’s not normal, we understand that it takes a while to get there.” She also knows that it’s especially rare for women in country music to break through, so they’re extremely grateful for the way their career has started.

Tae – “Well, the fact that radio and our fans are embracing us as new artists, and our music, it’s incredible. Maddie – “Yes. It’s really hard to break females in Country Music and so just to get to do this, and be two women, is really awesome.”

WHAT THEY’RE DOING THIS WEEK – FEBRUARY 9, 2015 – MONDAY 

Maddie & Tae spent their weekend in LA for GRAMMY festivities including a showcase. This week, the duo is on the road with shows on Thursday (2/12) at Hooligans Pub and Music Hall in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on Friday (2/13) at Cotton Eyed Joes in Knoxville, Tennessee and on Saturday (2/14) at Monumental Music Jam in Indianapolis, Indiana.
