At one point, before releasing their debut album, Maddie & Tae thought they had completed the project. Then they spent some time out on the road and gained some experience doing interviews and being on TV, and that impacted their album and caused them to make some tweaks before releasing it. Tae Dye says, “The only thing that changed whenever we got back in the studio from being out on the road and having lots of shows, TV appearances and interviews was that we had learned quite a bit, so we got to put all of that knowledge to good use in whatever we were doing in the studio. So that was really neat.”
