Martina McBride just kicked off her new Love Unleashed Tour and she admits that when she designed it, she had her long-term fans in mind. Martina says, “I want it to be more about the musicality of it, rather than the flash and the visual. I went and saw Bonnie Raitt at the Ryman and it was so just musical and it was about the music and her connecting with the audience and telling stories.”
A lot of times when an artist puts together a show, they try to focus on the hits and keeping fans engaged with all the songs they know, and while she’ll include some of her hits like her current single, “Just Around the Corner,” Martina says, “I want to go back and pull out some older material. So pull out some of the stuff we haven’t done for a while and pull out some album cuts and do quite a few songs off the new album, so that it’s really for people to come and know the material. I’ve never really taken a chance with my audience like that, so they’ll stick with me. Even the Everlasting Tour, I kind of did, but just having faith that they know the material and they’ll go with you on that journey.”

Martina McBride – fall tour :50
“What I really wanted to do with this tour was make an experience that’s really for the fans. What I mean by that is I guess the long-term fans- the people that have come to a lot of shows.
