(AUDIO) MARTINA McBRIDE LOVES USING HER MUSIC TO GIVE BACK

Martina McBride’s latest single, “Just Around the Corner,” is being used as the theme song for the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute’s Band Against Cancer initiative, which not only helps those battling blood cancers to learn about resources in their own communities, but also helps others learn how easy it is to get involved in the fight against cancer.  Martina says, “It feels really good to effect people and to give them tools to do, like with the Band Against Cancer and the Sarah Cannon campaign, to have concrete ways that they can make a difference and that they can get involved and that they can help. There’s been times in my career when I’ve had a song and people tell me their stories, but I haven’t really had a way to lead them somewhere to kinda connect the dots and say well, here’s how you can get involved if you want to get involved. So it’s great to have that with this campaign and I think it’s going to be super helpful so that they can give back and feel like they are a part of something.”
