Martina McBride has been asked to take part in a special Grammy event this weekend saluting music legends. It’s exciting to her because she’ll get to honor one of her favorites, Linda Ronstadt. Martina said, “She absolutely molded so much of who I am as a singer and artist.” The event takes place on Saturday night (April 23) in Hollywood.
According to Martina, you’ll hear that influence on her new cd, Reckless, to be released April 29. In describing it, she says fans may find some of it reminiscent of music she’s recorded in the past, but added, “It’s also very fresh and contemporary sounding as well…”

Martina – Ronstadt influence on new cd :11
“There’s some it that sounds kinda like Linda Ronstadt that I grew up listening to, um with the harmonies and just the instrumentation. And I love that ya know, definitely a huge influence on me.”
