The guys in Midland have reached a point where they’re starting to see traits in themselves that they know are direct reflections of their dads, especially Cameron Duddy, who is a father to his own young son, Kit. He says, “There’s things that I’ll do that my dad definitely did.”
Thinking back on his own childhood, Mark Wystrach asks Cam, “Do you blame your kids for anything that goes missing or broken?” Because he says, “My dad used to blame me. Anything that went wrong at the house. My brother and I would get blamed for it.”
Cam jokes that he blames his wife, Harper, for that stuff, but, he says, “I make this face at Kit when I’m irritated and it’s just like, ‘Oh my god I’m like completely turning into my dad.’ It’s very trippy.”
Midland jut announced that their sophomore album will be called Let It Roll, and it will be released on August 23rd, featuring their latest single, “Mr Lonely.”
