Midland’s latest single, “Cheatin’ Songs,” is off of their sophomore album, Let It Roll, which in their opinion is incomparably better than their first album. “I think we blew away that last album,” says bassist Cameron Duddy. “I think the inclination is just like a dad, you know like, ‘I love both my sons.’ But for me, and I think for all of us, it’s just night and day, really, for us.”
Perhaps not everybody will agree with Cameron that Midland’s second album is so much better than their first, but he says, “Either way it doesn’t matter as long as they like the album is all we care about. But I do feel like within the band we feel like the album has grown exponentially as far as songwriting prowess and performance. We’re very proud of it.”
If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Let It Roll in its entirety, it is available wherever music is streamed or sold.
