Midland has been playing some shows with Kenny Chesney this month, and this weekend they will play two of the biggest shows of their career when they open for Kenny at Boston’s Gillette Stadium. According to Mark Wystrach, “They say Kenny Chesney at Gillette is the biggest event in country music outside of a music festival. It’s evolved into like a one man music festival and Kenny has such a big pull. And you know I think what we’re doing is very different and I think he’s going to stand out a lot. And I think it’s going to be an incredible opportunity for us to expose ourselves to a lot of new fans. And it’s not even about nerves at that point you’re just having fun and I don’t even know how to prepare for that. I don’t think you can, I think you just step on stage and start playing.”
The two shows this weekend will give Midland a chance to perform their debut single, “Drinkin’ Problem,” and some of the other songs off their forthcoming album, On The Rocks, for over 120,000 peope.
