NEW SINGLE: “Longneck Way to Go w/ Jon Pardi”
Midland’s brand new single, “Longneck Way to Go” is a duet featuring Jon Pardi, and according to bassist Cameron Duddy, it’s not rocket science. “‘Longneck Way to Go’ is an up-tempo song, right. And it’s a drinking song, and it’s a country song. And there’s three-part harmonies on it, and it wasn’t over written. I can’t stand when songs should be simple and they’re not.”
In terms of its sound, Cameron suggests, “It’s kind of a Brooks & Dunn, like 90s song to me, right?”
Lead guitarist Jess Carson agrees. “Yeah, Brooks & Dunn. It’s just that classic like, tempo, it’s just fun. A heartbreak song that somehow makes you happy to listen to, in the way that only country can do.”
So, even if you’re going through a heartbreak, or you’re not, Midland and Jon Pardi are ready to put you in a good mood with “Longneck Way to Go.”
