If you follow Cameron Duddy on Instagram, then you know he’s been spending some time up in Wyoming, rock climbing, mountain climbing and just enjoying being outdoors. It’s been a rare opportunity for Cam to reconnect with one of his favorite spots on earth during the summer months, because under normal circumstances, he says, “There’s no summers left in adulthood, being in a touring band.”
Cam spent time in Wyoming when he was a kid. He says, “I spent a lot of time in Jackson, up in Wyoming, fishing and just being out in nature.”
One thing Cam does lament is how much Wyoming has grown and become a popular destination for a lot of people. He says, “It used to be a really small town before it kind of turned into an Aspen of sorts, and now it’s very highly visited and there’s a lot of people in there, which is great for the city but it’s changed it. It used to be kind of a cowboy town. I have very fond memories of being up there as a kid.”
For now, while quarantine is keeping Midland off the road, and forcing them to promote their latest single, “Cheatin’ Songs,” virtually, which they can do anywhere in the world, Cam is making the most of his unexpected adult summer vacation up in Wyoming.
