CURRENT SINGLE – “Sunrise Tells the Story”
Midland’s bass player, Cameron Duddy, loves to go rock climbing, and has even shared some cool photos of himself in the act on social media, which make his skills look pretty impressive, but he admits, “It’s actually a lot easier than you might think. I mean, it’s not easy but it’s not like… You’re not climbing, let’s just say that,” says Cameron. “It’s scrambling, it’s a lot of walking, but the actual climbing, you don’t have to put hand on a rock really at any point.”
So how does he explain those pictures where it looks like he’s using all of his strength to grip and climb the rocks? Cameron says, “I may have like, leaned up against a rock to pretend like I was climbing it.”
The fact that rock climbing is something he can do outdoors is one reason Cameron loves it so much. He says, “I like to get outdoors like anybody else. During Covid I’m sure everybody was like, inventing reasons and things to do and go explore,” and he implores people, “check out all the national parks at your disposal before they’re gone in America.”
