(AUDIO) MIDLAND’S MARK WYSTRACH IS IN AWE OF HIS WIFE AS A NEW MOM

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and Midland’s lead singer, Mark Wystrach, has been amazed to see his wife, Taylor, become a mom so effortlessly.  “It’s amazing to see that transformation, and all that maternal instinct kind of pours out, and you watch, you know, the woman that you love – it’s really cool – she demonstrates so much love into the kid and so much care. It’s just kind of natural, selfless and it’s just really fun to watch.”

Never one to keep it serious for too long, Mark says, “I catch myself like sittin’ there making coffee and just watching her interact with the kid and it makes me love her more. Like, wow, I wish she would look at me like that. You know, that kind of stuff and coo at me and make weird faces… I’d like my wife to treat me like a small toddler, a small baby.”

Bass player, Cameron Duddy, who has a four year old son and a daughter, who was just born two weeks ago, foreshadows to Mark that one day he’ll be eating his kid’s leftovers over the sink, trying to get anybody to pay attention to him, and he’ll be saying, “Hello. I need love too.”

During this quarantine time, the guys in Midland have been hanging out at home with their families, while continuing to find ways to promote their latest single, “Cheatin’ Songs,” and their new Live from the Palominoalbum, which they released two months ago.

Mark Wystrach – “We just had a kid and it’s amazing to see that transformation, and all that maternal instinct kind of pours out, and you watch, you know, the woman that you love – it’s really cool – she demonstrates so much love into the kid and so much care. It’s just kind of natural, selfless and it’s just really fun to watch. I catch myself like sittin’ there making coffee and just watching her interact with the kid and it makes me love her more. Like, wow, I wish she would look at me like that. You know that kind of stuff and coo at me and make weird faces.”

Cameron – “She does end up doing that, for real.”

Mark – I’d like my wife to treat me like a small toddler, a small baby.”

Cameron – “Just wait till you’re eating their leftovers over the sink.”

Mark – “I’m over here! I’m alive still!  Hello!”
