(AUDIO) MIDLAND’S MARK WYSTRACH KNOWS THE SICKENING FEELING OF BEING CHEATED ON

Midland’s latest single, “Cheatin’ Songs,” is about a guy who realizes the women he loves is cheating on him, reminiscent of some of those old cheatin’ songs, and Mark Wystrach thinks the song is resonating with people because he says, “I think all of us have experienced that and it’s a sickening feeling, right?”

A lot of times the reason being cheated on hurts so badly is because of the intensity of emotions involved when you love someone.  “I mean, that’s why you hear ‘crimes of passion,’ right?” says Mark.  “Because when you’re betrayed like that and you love somebody it’s a tough thing. But that’s the thing about this song, it might be telling it from a guy’s perspective, but everybody relates to it, and that’s what’s cool about it.”

Well, cool?  Maybe not, but it definitely resonates deeply with a lot of people who have been in that situation.
