Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Jonathan Jackson and Aubrey Peeples are some of the cast members of ABC’s Nashville who just kicked off a short nationwide tour, performing music from the hit ABC show, as well as some of their own original music. They say so far, fans who have been coming to the shows have been pleasantly surprised to hear the actors’ original music. Directing her comment toward Chris Carmack, who plays Will Lexington, Clare Bowen, who plays Scarlett, said, “They’ve been loving your single that you’ve been playing every night. They absolutely love it, ‘Pieces of You’, it’s beautiful. And so to be able to bring your own music out and say to an audience, ‘Hey, would it be OK if I play something that I wrote?’ and they all go, ‘Yeeees!’. Like the best feeling ever like we’ve watched every night Chris has been able to do that. It’s really cool.”
Aubrey Peeples, who plays Layla Grant, agrees and says, “I think on top of that it just adds authenticity to the show, hopefully, that we are doing our own music. Like, oh they are real musicians. You know?”
The U.S. dates of the Nashville tour feature Chris Carmack, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Will Chase, Jonathan Jackson, and Aubrey Peeples. Tickets for the tour and a complete list of dates are available on AXS.com.
Don’t miss Nashville every Wednesday night at 10/9p central, on ABC.

Nashville – fans surprised by original music :52
Chris Carmack – “Oh yeah. Yeah, I think they’re surprised. Hopefully pleasantly surprised.”
Clare Bowen – “They have. They’ve been loving your single that you’ve been playing every night.
Jonathan Jackson – “It’s also a, just a really interesting thing because we’re all living in Nashville now and playing these characters who are songwriters and when you go out on the road and the audience gets to not only see songs that you’re performing as your character, but also songs that are coming from your own life experience, it just kind of…the whole Nashville experience comes to life when we get to play these shows.”
Aubrey Peeples – “Yeah, and that’s kind of what I was gonna say. I think on top of that it just adds authenticity to the show, hopefully, that we are doing our own music. Like, oh they are real musicians. You know?”
