When you’re a new artist, watching your songs climb the chart is part of the excitement…and sometimes the stress. And since the time that Brooks & Dunn had their first #1 in 1991, Ronnie Dunn has done his share of chart watching, but not anymore.
It’s not that he doesn’t care, it’s more about knowing that once he’s recorded the song, there’s not a lot he can do about it from that point on.

“No, years and years ago I used to do that. I used to be a chart watcher. I don’t do that anymore. No, that’s someone else’s job to do that and take it up. After I record it, I do the best I can and then turn it over to people that know what they’re doing.”
