Rascal Flatts recently announced their Summer Playlist Tour, which will kick off on May 16th and run through September 21st, with Lee Bruce, Billy Currington, Jordan Davis, Jimmie Allen, Morgan Evans and LOCASH rotating as their opening acts throughout the tour. After 19 years of putting together tours, the guys actually brought in some fresh eyes to help them create their last tour to keep it interesting. According to Jay DeMarcus, “Adam Blackstone came in this time and worked with us and had some really, really great ideas and fresh perspectives on our music to help us with some transitions and some different arrangements of some older tunes that we had done. So, it was really neat to get a different perspective on our music from a live show point of view.”
The one thing Rascal Flatts liked about Adam is that he didn’t try to change their live show so much that their fans wouldn’t recognize it. Jay says, “Adam really had a great sense for being respectful for what the fans had seen all these years and not taking us and tweaking it too much but really adding just enough to keep it interesting and more importantly keep us interested in playin’.”
Rascal Flatts’ latest song, Back to Life, is currently climbing the charts. You can get more details about the Summer Playlist Tour on RascalFlatts.com.
