Rascal Flatts just kicked off their Riot Tour last Friday. While they’ll be out on the road throughout the summer, another project they’re hoping to work on this year is the movie Cars 3. The guys performed “Life Is a Highway” for the soundtrack of the original Cars movie, and Gary LeVox says, “At the end of last year we went out to John Lasseter’s house and met with him, and they’re starting on Cars 3, and he wants to get us in it.”
Gary says they hope to be on the soundtrack again, but also, “It’d be cool to be a voiceover or something. We’re gonna try to be a car or somethin’. We haven’t got anything worked out yet, but yeah, we’re definitely gonna be workin’ on bein’ a part of Cars 3.”
Cars 3 is still in production, so it will likely be a while before we get a release date or more details about Rascal Flatts involvement in the movie.
