(AUDIO) RASCAL FLATTS IS HONORED TO HAVE RECORDED THEIR LATEST SINGLE

Rascal Flatts’ latest single, “Yours If You Want It,” is special because it’s the first release off their new album, Back to Us, but it’s even more special to them because it was written by Jonathan Singleton and the late Andrew Dorff, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly just before last Christmas.  Andrew was a beloved songwriter in Nashville, whose other writing credits include Blake Shelton‘s “My Eyes” and “Neon Light,” Kenny Chesney‘s “Save It for a Rainy Day” and Hunter Hayes‘ “Somebody’s Heartbreak.”

While Andrew isn’t here to celebrate the success of “Yours If You Want It,” which is nearing the top ten on the charts, Gary LeVox says, “I’m just so glad that Andrew got to hear it, you know, before his tragic passing. And it was just nice to have his blessing and know that he loved our take on him and Jonathan’s tune. So that made it even more special.”

Joe Don Rooney agrees and adds, that for Rascal Flatts, “(It’s) incredible to be a part of his legacy.”  And naturally, they’re hoping that they can add another #1 song to Andrew’s legacy with “Yours If You Want It.”
