A number one song is a big deal for an artist when they’re first starting their career, but they are equally important to established artists like Rascal Flatts, who know that #1’s aren’t always easy to come by. “That’s definitely true,” says Jay DeMarcus, “and I think seeing how radio has responded [Back to Life] and the fans have responded, it feels like we’ve kind of hit a groove again to where we’re putting out the things that the fans are responding to.”
“Back to Life” is in the top 30, and Jay says, “It’s nice to be back in this space to know that you’re puttin’ the music out that you believe in that seems to be resonating with both radio and the fans. And that feeling never gets old, to know that you’ve put your heart and soul into something and it seems to hit people where they live, is the best feeling in the world and the best that an artist can ever hope for.”
Rascal Flatts will kick off their Summer Playlist Tour on May 16th with a variety of rotating opening acts. Check rascalflatts.com for complete details.
