(AUDIO) Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus Inspired By Max Lucado

Before joining Rascal Flatts, Jay DeMarcus was in a Christian band called East to West, and to this day his faith is a huge part of his life and a source of great inspiration. One member of the Christian community who inspires Jay a lot is Max Lucado, a best-selling Christian author and writer and preacher at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. Jay says, “I love Max, he’s an incredible author. I actually have met him a couple of different times when I was in East to West on the Young Messiah tour. He used to come out and lead devotions for us, but he’s just an incredibly gifted writer and I find so much inspiration by reading his works, and they’re just incredible.”

Rascal Flatts recently released their new single, “I Like the Sound of That,” and they’re working on the follow-up to their latest album, Rewind, for release sometime in 2016.
