After almost 20 years of making music and touring, Rascal Flatts have reached a point in their career where they don’t have to play a show on New Year’s Eve, like a lot of newer artists do because of the bigger paychecks. Gary LeVox says, “We want to be home on the holidays. I don’t think there’s anything more important than spending it with your family and being in a position where we can do that has always been important to us. And it’s just awesome kick off the new year with your kids and all your family. I know the last few years my mom and my brother were all there and it’s a blast.”
But in true Jay DeMarcus fashion, he quickly points out that they’ll never say never to a New Year’s Eve show. Jay jokes, “It depends on how many zeros are at the end of that number. I mean, we can be bought.”
For now, Rascal Flatts will spend New Year’s Eve 2018 at home with their families, enjoying having their latest single, “Back to Life,” climbing the charts, and preparing for a new tour and more in 2019.
