(AUDIO) Rascal Flatts Music Rooted In Christian Faith

Rascal Flatts has never been shy about incorporating their faith into their career, with songs like “Changed” and “Bless the Broken Road,” and Jay DeMarcus says he actually got his start in a Christian band back in college. Jay says, “We were on tour with Four Him and Al Denson and a bunch of the acts that were big back in the early 90’s. I was with that band, it was myself, and my college roommate, and we were together for a little over five years, so I definitely cut my teeth in Christian Music and I love it, it’s one of my proudest parts of my history and my past.”

Even today, Jay enjoys producing several Christian music acts like Jason Crabb and Michael English, when he’s not working on Rascal Flatts’ music. “I still have my hands in it,” says Jay, “and it’s something that I very, very much love.”

Rascal Flatts just released their brand new single, “Riot,” which is one of the songs they self-produced on their latest album, Rewind.
