(AUDIO) Rascal Flatts Shares Their Must-Haves For Thanksgiving

As 2015 begins to wind down, Rascal Flatts is looking forward to spending time with their families over the holidays. The guys are looking forward to a big Thanksgiving meal, and for Jay DeMarcus, that meal won’t be complete without stuffing. He says, “You gotta have stuffing. We have turkey sandwiches and turkey all year round, so that would be the obvious answer, but for me, it’d have to be stuffing.” And it can’t be just any stuffing. Jay prefers cornbread stuffing.

Joe Don Rooney agrees that stuffing is a Thanksgiving must have, plus, he needs “awesome gravy” to go along with his stuffing.

Gary LeVox has two dishes that he looks forward to every Thanksgiving. He says, “My Thanksgiving two dishes would be probably my wife’s corn casserole and my mom’s Toll House Pie.”

Besides enjoying some time with family, Rascal Flatts will also use part of their time off to work on their next album, the follow-up to their current album, Rewind, which features their latest single, “I Like the Sound of That.”

Rascal Flatts – Thanksgiving :36
Jay DeMarcus – “There’s one dish that we have to have every Thanksgiving, or it’s just not Thanksgiving, and that’s stuffing. You gotta have stuffing. We have turkey, you know, sandwiches and turkey all year round, so that would be the obvious answer, but for me, it’d have to be stuffing. It may be different for all three of us, I don’t know.

Joe Don Rooney – “That’s a perfect traditional Thanksgiving plate right there. You gotta have that stuffing.”

Jay – “And cornbread stuffing, too.”

Joe Don – “And awesome gravy, too.”

Gary Levox – “In my house my Thanksgiving two dishes would be probably my wife’s corn casserole and my mom’s Toll House Pie, probably.”

Jay DeMarcus – “Let’s go eat. I’m hungry.”

Joe Don and Gary – “Me too.”
