Like a lot of us, Rascal Flatts has been listening to a lot of music during the pandemic. Joe Don Rooney says if you checked his listening history on his streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music, “I got the 90’s playlists country on there. It’s incredible, all that chicken pickin’ guitar.”
Jay DeMarcus spent a lot of time listening to two great artists we lost to Covid-19 in 2020, Joe Diffie and Kenny Rogers. He aays as soon as Joe passed, “I started listening to his entire catalog again.”
And if he’s being honest, Jay also says, “You’d find Rascal Flatts on my playlist too, because when all this went down and we weren’t gonna tour, I started going back through the catalog and revisiting some things that I’d forgotten about.”
And while it’s not a whole lot of money, since Rascal Flatts and every artist earns pennies on the dollar every time someone streams one of their songs, why wouldn’t they listen to their own music and earn a few bucks in the process?
