(AUDIO) REBA McENTIRE RECEIVES FIRST EVER DOVE AWARD NOMINATION

Reba McEntire’s faith has always been a centerpiece of her life.  In fact, she says, “Without my faith I would be a hollow shell.  My faith fills me.  If I feel a little down, I know that I just haven’t cranked that up today.  And I wake up in the morning thanking the Lord for the good night’s sleep and asking the Holy Spirit to help me and guide me on everything I do, and ask the Lord, ‘What do you want me to do today?  Who can I help?’”

Reba’s faith guided her to record her very first inspirational album last year called Sing It Now: Songs of Praise and Hope, featuring her original song, “Back To God,” which just earned Reba her first-ever Dove Award nomination for Bluegrass/Country Roots – Song of the Year.  The awards will take place in Nashville on October 17th, and then the ceremony will be broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on October 22nd.
